A fairly enthusiastic photographer from the onset of the digital camera age, but only with fairly basic compacts until recently. I could never justify the printing of all the duff shots I took using film and love the ability to experiment without fear of failure or unnecessary expense......

I bought my first (and at present, only ) DSLR in July 2009 and love it.

Slowly and gradually I'm learning about the rules and techniques of photography, slowly being the operative word!

At this stage I am doing minimal electronic editing of my images, pretty much limiting myself to crops, curves and levels as I'm far more interested in trying to get it right 'in camera' at this stage.

Interests so far - composition, reflections, close ups (objects - not tried people yet) but have'nt got a macro lens yet...,

Having to now teach 14 year olds the basics of digital photography as part of an ICT course is also making me want to learn and do more too...... Sometimes there's a good side to work! ; )
