I am an outdoors man, I love being around water and nature. Finding something hidden has been a treat for me since childhood. I'm an outgoing loving individual who loves people.I like antiques and all things old. I grew up in a town where the flee market was the place to be seen. I love to search for old or discarded objects and extend their life by making them a piece of art. Some of them I like so much I keep and place them in my home.People love to visit my home to see what I have found or made.My home is described as being very peaceful. I attribute this to my husband who is an architect. I haven't found anything that he cannot do or fix ! We built our house ourselves after finding my dream spot on the water. My home looks like a tree house from the outside. I grew up knowing how to garden, picking and shelling pecans, and canning foods. Growing up on a farm I had lots of animals for pets much to my mother's dismay. I had raccoons, owls, squirrels , rabbits,lambs, cows,,parakeets,horses, chicks, stray dogs and cats! did I leave anything out?It's not your usual pet parade! And no! Mother didn't allow any animals inside except for the parakeet! My favorite past time is walking in the woods and seeing a fox run across the field or finding an unusual or unique object of nature. I also liked to fish as we had several stocked tanks full of Bass and Catfish. I would typically catch enough for a meal which pleased my Mother. My Daddy taught me how to clean and fillet a fish.We went fishing often. Needles to say I had a very happy and blessed childhood! When I found my perfect mate and got married and had 2 beautiful children, Both boys! We began looking for the perfect place to raise them. We found Cedar Creek Lake an old stomping ground of mine from teenage years! We began looking for property along the shore line. after 2 years of looking and saving we found our perfect spot. The first year we cleared off enough of the property to begin building the next year.

My Etsy shop Reclaimed Objects www.etsy.com/shop/ReclaimedObjects came about when we needed some extra income to help pay our bills when my husband was laid off in 2009. I soon realized how much fun and rewarding making my Reclaimed Objects became when I joined the Family of craftsmen at Etsy. Their knowledge of making an online business work has been most helpful to me .. I learn something new weekly and I enjoy searching and looking at the unique shops and articles that the Etsy team provides.Ever since I was little girl I have always made my own things.From making baskets and wreaths in first grade, To crocheting a shawl when I was 10 to designing my own unique clothing and jewelery style as a teenager in the late 60's and early70's.-80's So I guess it is now a natural progression to making furniture accessories from the reclaimed objects that run across my path along my trails of discovery.
