Over 60 and still thinking about what I want to do for my next career!

I started my own antiques business in 1978 selling doilies, and 30 some years later I'm still selling doilies and a whole lot more! I've worked in all avenues of retail and now work completely online through Etsy , my blog and various social networks like Facebook, The Vintage Village and Vintage Rising.

I love antiquing because the life lessons are just endless - and you get toys to play with too! The books, the photos, the clothes, the jewels, the trinkets all have little stories to tell. It's wonderful to discover history through story and object. Somehow, it seems more real.

But I have to admit, there's nothing like a quiet kayak ride on a creek or an afternoon playing blocks with the grand kids. :) This busy world just needs a 6yr old sometimes to put things in perspective!

Last but not least, I love photography! My great grandfather was a professional photographer in the early 1900s, and I think (hope) a few of his genes stuck in my blood. I'll be building various themes to show you - so I hope you'll visit often.
