Executive Assistant by trade - Photographer-Wanna-Be most every other minute of the day!

I've always enjoyed snapping pictures and was crowned the family photographer several years ago, although I never went beyond the Auto setting on my camera. On a trip to the NC mountains last fall (2014), I forced myself to learn how to shoot in Manual. Initially, I really just wanted to toss my camera over one of the Blue Ridge Mountain overlooks, but by the end of the week, I ended up with a severe case of the photography bug. As Christopher Walken would have said it, "I have a feva! And the only prescription is...more shutter clicks!!!"

Now, armed with a new Nikon D7100 that I got for Christmas, I can't resist the desire to take the camera & tripod with me everywhere I go, just in case. I'm such a novice and have so much to learn, but who cares - this sure is fun!

I've recently discovered what a powerful teaching tool Flickr is and I absolutely LOVE looking through your photos when I have some free time and learning from the gifted and talented photographers that I've found here. Thanks for sharing your beautiful work and I hope to one day be half as good as the people I follow. God Bless!
