I work in one sketchbook or journal every day. When it is finished, I move on to the next. Sometimes the books are store-bought; sometimes I make them myself. These books are the heart of my daily life. Much of what I do I have come to call "collage drawing" because I combine the scraps of paper and other objects i find to use as stencils and patterns in my drawings. I use pencils, ball point pens, rapid-o-graphs, water colour, markers: anything that will make a mark on paper. I studied at the Atlanta College of Art where my natural love of making and filling books of drawings was nurtured. From these books flow prints, hand-shaped wood pens, and other creative endeavors. They can be found here and on my blog, bjw-draw@blogspot.com.
