I live in Uckfield, East Sussex, having moved down from Nottingham some 20 years ago. I started photgraphing insects 25 years ago using Canon equipment with Kodachrome 64. After a 10 year break from the insects, I bought a digital SLR 4 years ago and it has been like starting all over again.

I am very bemused by the settings used by the "new" digital breed of insect photographer who has turned the traditional photographic principles upside down. I guess I am just old fashioned and use similar methods to those that I grew up with. Having said that I am impressed by the volume of really good insect photos being taken by others.
