Still learning digital photography.

I travel whenever I can think of an excuse. Mostly by car - in particular, the Great Highways of Australia.

I see myself as a link between the particular species of beauty that I observe, and the Wider World of Flickr.

Mostly I try to capture landscapes.

Sometimes I find signs that are amusing, or informative, or both, or neither - I get a lot of them.

But I'm trying to train myself to react more quickly when opportunity arises to get pics of fauna. This is proving to be a slow process.

I can't think of anything cleverer than to keep trying ...

Plans for Dec2010 & Jan2011: drive through Queensland (Winton, Longreach, Gold Coast), New South Wales (haven't decided which way, yet), Victoria (MCG), South Australia, and then home through the Northern Territory. If time permits, I'd like to visit Canberra for a few days.
