I first became interested in photography at about the age of 14. At senior school we were lucky enough to have a little darkroom, more of a cupboard really and a teacher who was fascinated in photography. This enabled me to learn about the process of photo production and the use of chemicals
For many years, until 1998, due to surf kayaking at an international standard I was unable to spend any time on photography. In 2006 in preparation for a month in the Maldives diving I decided to "go digital" and bought a Canon EOS10D.
The changover to digital gives so much more freedom to experiment and to delve into new areas of photography that would have been far too expensive for my limited budget growing up - and so now I'm on a very steep learning curve especially with Photoshop etc.
I am thoroughly hooked again and spend time out hunting for new shots and I am lucky enough to live in St Ives a very scenic part of Cornwall.
I do hope you enjoy a photo or two of mine.
