Army Cadets, which is the oldest and largest youth program in Canada, is a free program for young men and women aged 12 to 18 that promotes positive peer interaction and provides an opportunity for them to become responsible and mature young adults. To help them develop their abilities and test their limits The 42 Army Cadets offers a variety of interesting and challenging activities ranging from sports and outdoor adventure training and air rifle familiarization. There are also opportunities to learn leadership skills and self discipline, take part in community activities, summer camps, national and international travel and participate in the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Program. Many of these as well as other activities also qualify for High School community hours.
