Hi, my name is Jodi Payne, and I am a hobbyist photographer working to achieve my goal of becoming a professional.I have to say that I was born with a love for photography and all animals and nature. My father is a professional commercial, and stock photographer and has been published worldwide in many publications including National Geographic and Time Magazine, and also books, cards and calenders.I like to believe that any talent I my have comes from him.My Dad is my inspiration, and my toughest critic.I am totally self taught, and have been taking pictures since the age of thirteen when I received my first Disc camera.My favorite subjects to photograph have always been animals, from the family pets, to the pets of others.I also love taking photos of our local wildlife, mainly the whitetail deer in my area. I do have two main subjects of who I take,or have taken many of my favorite photos of. They are Nikki, my cat who recently passed, and who was my most photographed, and beloved companion, and Sammy, my parents Blue Merle Sheltie. A shot I took of Sam may be published in a book this Fall! Though my main,passion and choice of subjects is obviously animals, I am working on expanding my choice of subjects to include some more conceptual and artistic works. I have just begun,working with textures and I love it! I hope you find my work enjoyable and interesting. Thank you for visiting.
