Frank Ayrton (main artist)

I started tattooing in 1976 working under the guidance of Tony Glass in Enfield, Middlesex. I bought my first studio at the age of 23 called High Tension Tattoo from Terry Oldham in East London and he would often come in to help out in the years that followed. He was an excellent freehand artist and to this day I owe many aspects of my style to his influence.

With a growing family, I relocated and opened English Rose with Carl Burton in Peterborough. We had many good years working together but all things must come to an end so I decided to follow my dream to live and work in Spain.

I opened Body and Soul in Palma, Mallorca in 1996 and after a few initial problems with the lingo this went on to be a great success. I sold this studio in 2005 and worked at Eternal Image, Northants with my good friend Andy Lobban who is sadly no longer with us.

I was offered a position at Enigma Studios in Magaluf where I went on to work for the next 3 years. 2009 sees me back in the UK to open my new studio in Weston-super-Mare taking my career to the Next Level.
