I have recently lost over half of my photos on Flickr - most likely due to iPhoto uploader!!! Beware if you are using iPhoto or Aperture uploader! Your photos may be deleted for no apparent reason! Unfortunately I had to almost start from scratch.

I'm interested in quite a wide variety of photographic subjects. Some of my favorites are travel photography, architecture (especially antique), missions and ruins, animals and interesting viewpoints of common subject matter. I travel around the US and world for business (and pleasure) and take every opportunity to capture the more unique point of view of places where others have not had the opportunity to see for themselves.

 

My father was a commercial artist and amateur photographer, among other things. I had a darkroom when I was 12 years old, and remained involved through the years...

 

Since I've been interested in the antique book, photos, art world for many years, I strive to continually improve my photography, and especially am interested in becoming familiar with using the latest post processing tools available.

 

I seek out old and antique photos from amateur and professional photographers of bygone days, and if needed, do restoration work to bring back the original condition where possible. I love history, so that kind of fits in with my interest in preserving it for the enjoyment of others. I also enjoy creating black and white photos with vintage effects, given the many examples of the actual photos at my disposal.

 

On a part time basis, I am an antique and rare paper dealer, but please don't ask me to sell any of my favorite photos displayed on flickr. They are provided here for your enjoyment and not intended for resale. And please don't download images for resale use.
