The Oak Street History project is a multi-faceted documentation project sponsored by the University of New Orleans history department in cooperation with the Oak Street Association and the Po-Boy Preservation Festival. UNO's history faculty and graduate students manage the history venue for the festival, which is held on New Orleans' Oak Street on the third Sunday of November. Students enrolled in the Introduction to Public History course research, document, and present information regarding Carrollton neighborhood and Oak Street history.
