Welcome to my journalism photoblog!

I'm a freelance journalist at CUNY Graduate School of Journalism. I am currently remaking my life with a career in journalism while staying true to my roots in geek culture. (Hence, the "nerdcore" journalist title, an adjective I've borrowed from a hip-hop artist who's done a similar thing.)

In past lives I have been a PhD student in Mass Communications, a member of the high school math team and a "Most Promising Minority Finalist" of the American Advertising Federation. Through it all, I've been very proudly a geek.

While I don't consider myself a photojournalist by any stretch, I do endeavor to become fluent in as many media as I can get my hands on as a journalist. So think of this webiste as some of the better pictures I've taken while covering news.
