Hi, I am Stephen. I live in north-western Sydney, in the Hills District. I have two teenage daughters. One is in high-school whilst the other is at university. My daughters are now 17 and 19 years of age. I also have a son aged in his 20s.

I have worked as an English teacher, and an English Faculty Co-ordinator, in various Hills District high schools.

I have also worked as a lawyer and a writer of educational texts.

I love all genres of photography, especially macro flower photography and landscape photography. I wish to learn more about photography and therefore Flickr is a great place to be, because I am able to take advice and guidance from the many excellent photographers who showcase their amazing images on Flickr.

I take photographs with my Canon EOS 5D Mk IV, along with a Canon EF f/2.8L 100mm macro lens. I also use a Canon EF f/2.8L 16-35mm lens and a Canon EF 24-105mm f/4L lens.

One of my favourite things to do is to visit cafes (and Sydney has an army of these!!) for wonderful flat white coffees and lemon tarts. I especially like 'Firestone', 'The Brewhaha', 'The Coffee Emporium' & 'Pattisons Patisserie' at Hornsby, 'Cafe Hylton' and 'Charlotte' at Pennant Hills, 'Single O Roasters' at Surry Hills, 'The Saturday Cafe' at Round Corner, in Dural, '18 Grams' at Thornleigh, and 'The Shed Cafe' at Stanhope Gardens. et.al.

I also love plants and gardening and I have a big collection of geraniums and pelargoniums. I also have a lot of Japanese maples, roses, and many other assorted plants. I love going to gardening centres and nurseries - even the nursery at the local Dural Bunnings!!

I also really love music, across many if not all genres. At the moment I am loving 'Spotify' where I have a zillion playlists. I listen to Spotify in the car now with Android Carplay, which I love. One of my favourite artists (actually a group of artists) is 'Scary Pockets' who do amazing cover versions of famous songs. One of my favourite artist is Annalise and IMY2. She is a brilliant singer with gorgeous blue hair, and IMY2 perform stunning cover versions. Of-course I also like the 'old school' artists such as AC DC, The Doors, J.J. Cale, The Eagles, Seal, Donovan, The Carpenters, Little River Band, Sia, Elton John, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Fleetwood Mac, Tony Joe White, and the list goes on. I especially like the genre of 'Smooth Jazz' , notably artists such as Rick Braun, Boney James, U-Nam, Richard Elliott, Kirk Whalum, Euge Groove, Marc Antoine, etc. The list goes on.

My favourite FM station in Sydney is Northside FM, 99.3 - with its awesome and diverse selection of offerings such as 'Soulscope' at 2.00pm on Sundays, and the 'Smooth Jazz' show on Saturdays between midday and 2.00pm with Nick Hammond.

My favourite DAB station is SBS Chilled. Unbeatable.
