Retired and living on a Sheep Station in "Outback Australia" on the bank of the Murrumbidgee River,
I like Gardens, Dogs, Birds and Bears of course.
I like to travel and come back with records of things I encountered and memories of the world's amazing people.
I battled with a Canon Powershot G3 and then my Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ50. Both cameras could do good work. Canon 50D with EF 18-200mm IS lens now in my hands, my first DSLR, just have to learn how to use it...
I support Animals Asia Moon Bear Rescue thus my icon...
These bears have my heart...

Thanks for being such a wonderful friend and our window on that great land “down-under”! Your work and words inspire. Mary Dunbar wrote: “We are each gifted in a unique and important way. It is our privilege and our adventure to discover our own special light”. Thanks Claire….Fred
Claire's work shows the beauty of living in harmony with nature. That doesn't necessarily mean shots of the Outback or the Mucwhaticallit River. More, it means living with an appreciate of the importance of nature. There is a gentle loveliness in her work that I am certain comes more from her, than her camera.
Claire's photography is a reference and a trully inspiration to me and, I'm sure, to many other. She's kind of one step above and that is so creative in her work. It's a pleasure being able to realize how she handles the art of photography. Her work is very diversified and filled with care. Just love the world she … Read more

I have met Claire on flickr and very quickly she has become a very good friend. She is very eager to learn and is never shy asking: both qualities which will certainly help her become a better photographer. The amazing progress she has made is clearly obvious. Not only she is a good photographer but she a wonderful human being full of compassion. I am truly honored to count Claire among my friends despite the fact that we have never met. For some, dreams are just visions that occur during sleep: ephemeral and disappearing. For Claire, dreams are tangible they are markers on the path to becoming an excellent photographer dazzling us with her vision of beauty which surrounds us but very often goes un-noticed and all too often taken for granted as we go about our daily life. Thank you Claire for that and for your friendship.

Claire has shown an amazing ability to learn fast, listen to others, experiment and get the best out of her Canon Powershot G3. Introduced to Flickr late last year, it has been amazing to see Claire *blossom" into a very talented digital photographer and Flickrite of some standing. Claire's natural curiosity, generosity, graciousness and eagerness to communicate suit Flickr perfectly and make her great example as an online-citizen. While I have helped Claire with PC questions for some years, she's now teaching me about Flickr, and has become an expert very quickly! With her new Panasonic Lumix she'd set to dazzle us further!
