I was inspired by my mother to buy my first camera when I around the age of ten years old. When I think back to my teenage years I remember my mother always having her camera. It was so embarrassing! No matter where we were or what we were doing that camera was sure to be dangling from her neck. During family gatherings, dinners out on the town, road trips, exploring other states, hiking, paddling in kayaks, and so on and on the camera was there. She had created a relationship with that damn camera.

A few years have swiftly gone by and now I am more than thankful for what she had done. Not only had she kept our family’s most remarkable memories in a still image, she also instilled the same love of photography in me. A black hole of photography has pulled me in and it appears I am here to stay. I have created my own relationship with my camera. I hope this relationship will open peoples’ eyes to different cultures. As I travel this photogenic world, I will be looking through my viewfinder while my finger is energetically pressing the shutter button to capture a split second of time. I am proud to show my photos to all who explore my website.
