I am originally from the Tyrol, Austria, but life had me move around the globe and I ended up in Stockholm, Sweden, where I now work since several years. In 2016 I bought an old farm in Gästrikland, in Färnebofjärdens nationalpark, which I am renovating to move there when I retire ... or actually much earlier. I give myself 10 years for renovation - I will be far from retirement by then, but maybe I find something else to do :)

Sweden has one very big disadvantage - there are no mountains! I love hiking, top-tour skiing, climbing - so I am at home in the alps as often as I can.

That's also where my nick comes from - alpros: an alpine evergreen shrub that grows just above the tree line. And just above the tree line, that is where I love to be!!
