The Smoke-Free Housing Coalition of Maine is a group comprised of over 50 public health advocates, tenants, landlords, property managers, legal and environmental health professionals and many others. Our mission, through education, advocacy and policy change, is to protect residents in multi-unit housing from involuntary exposure to secondhand smoke. We have been working with housing authorities, private landlords, developers, and tenants since 2003.
