My day job is to inspire thousands of people; clients, colleagues and the many folks I am responsible for helping grow and thrive in the amazing world of advertising. So finding someone to keep me inspired is quite important. David does just that. He is a storyteller with wonderfully vivid pictures (both found and created) and magnificently vivid words, all of which consistently captivate me. And make me think. And smile. And look at things differently. He takes chances. He plays with his favorite tools to make his images greater than what was seen (when the mood strikes him) or to shift and bend them to what was unseen (or needed to be seen) This is one of his gifts. Another gift to us all is his enormous heart and nurturing spirit. (I have seen this firsthand.) And the last (for this little tribute anyway) is that he really and truly works magic...both what what he shares with us on Flickr and what he shares with the lucky folks who have experienced him in person. (I know this having seen and experienced it up close...actually way up close) "Magic_fella" is a very appropriate name.

Magic Fella has become a friend through Flickr for me. His work is always top notch. The accompanying stories, both fiction and non-fiction are always a delight to read. His comments and suggestions prove to be thought-provoking and improve on my current skills. It is always a delight to know that he has visited my work and left a comment or to. I recommend him if you need a magician, or just some advice when it comes to photoshop. Meeting people like him is what truly makes Flickr great for the photographer.
