It seems odd that Shelby and I are flickr contacts. Her photography is so different from mine but in many ways, she is a role model for me. I have no idea how she achieves what she does with a camera - it seems she can turn any ordinary, everyday object into a wondrous, abstract image. Even though my own photographs don't have the same artistic flair, I think Shelby has helped me at least always look for more possibilities. Who knows, maybe one day I will produce something and people will say, 'Wow, that is spectacular... what exactly is it?!' Actually, I think I just came up with a new word to describe the awe you feel when you first look at a creative image and your jaw drops... yes, you have been 'Shelbied'.
