Deborah Lovelace Richardson received a BFA from the Maryland Institute of Art in Baltimore MD where she studied with Roual Middleman, and Philip Koch. Deborah spent a semester at the Artists for Environment Foundation at the Delaware Water Gap Recreation Area. There she studied landscape painting with Robert Kulick, and was influenced by artists in residence, Joseph Fiore, Lois Dodd and Gretna Campbell. Richardson paints weekly with Frederick’s enthusiastic plein air community and participates in several local plein air events each year as well as gallery shows through out Mid-Atlantic region. She has received numerous awards over the years and was honored to have her work featured in the Maryland Public Television special, “Historic Barns of Maryland”.

Deborah is a founding member of the Frederick Plein Air Artists, a life member of the Frederick County Art Association, and a life member of the Delaplaine Visual Arts Center.

Deborah and her artist husband, Harry Lamar Richardson, live in a historic home near New Market where both her and Harry’s artwork can be viewed by appointment.
