While living in suburban Vancouver, I spent much of my time exploring the beautiful Coast Mountains of British Columbia.

I have been capturing images in the mountains since 1988, beginning with a basic film SLR. I switched to digital in late 2001, with the purchase of a Canon G2 (4 mp digital camera) which saw plenty of use. In Nov/2004, I retired the G2 and aquired a Canon EOS 20D, which is my primary camera to date. Lenses in use are 17-40 f4L, 50mm f1.4 prime, and 70-200 f4L.

As for some of my other recreational activities:

I mountain bike,

I hike,

I climb,

I ski...

I created the public group Alpine Lakes and Meadows. I will try to post some of my better alpine pictures from the Coast Mountains and the Cascades of western Canada and the United States. I hope you will enjoy this collection of images from beautiful alpine areas of the world.

I have also created the public group Images for the Living Room Pool, a great place to share images, which are candidates for a place on the living room wall. This group is managed by Art, dobar, and of course myself. I'm sure you'll find it a great place to assist in choosing those extra special photos for your living room.
