a hyper-creative, curious, intensive photo-freak - a typical Sagittarius too!

I am a librarian by profession working with children mostly in a multi-cultural district of Stockholm. This work is most rewarding as I work with people from all over the world. We get lots of visits from writers - the Nobel awarders - and librarians.

I love travelling long and short distances. I often visit libraries to exchange ideas.

I´m also the vice of a small organization for African Literature "Föreningen Afrikansk Litteratur" and an organization for the afar people www.afarfriends.org.

For many years I have been active in another organization against the FGM to fight against female genital mutilation - RISK www.risk.se

My little camera is a Sony Cybershot with 7.2 megapix. I love it because it is so small and inoffensive. I always ask for permission to take pics and show people the result after - if they don´t like it I try again.

Mostly I take pics of the nature around where I live and work. I want to show that in spite of all prejudices this is a good place to live. My little camera helps me to see things more clearly.

Because it is so small I can carry it in my pocket and use it whenever I feel like.

I´m a cybershot missionary! This is the fourth cybershot in my life - I bought one for Åsa, my daughter, one for Mårten,my son, another one I gave away in Ethiopia to the afar organization after their great reception.

Mårten had his camera and immediately started taking great pics. Mårten died July 9th 2007 only 28 years old, missed and mourned endlessly by us and his friends. I have saved pictures of him, by him and of the place where he was found, drowned. He also has pictures of his own as Super-Max, I loved him so much!

My dad used good cameras and had a darkroom with all equipment which I inherited from him. I enjoyed working with him in the darkroom as a kid, but frankly now I don´t have that patience. He took great pics in black and white. He inspired me and Åsa, my daughter.
