Wife, mother of 2 grown kids and their spouses, manager of a hospital volunteer program.
Born in Canada, grew up in Louisiana, California and Texas. Parentage--Cajun/Lebanese mother and Iowa farmboy father. That's a whole other story--I exist today because of the oil in the swamps of Louisiana where my fair-haired father went to work as a geophysicist and met my dark-eyed, olive skinned mother. They are still married after more than 60 years and all those moves!
Graduated from high school at the American School in London, Attended SMU but graduated nearly 20 years later from Mary Washington College--a fabulous, small liberal arts college in Fredericksburg, VA
Have lived in 11 different towns or cities (Houston 3 different times). Have been in S'west Ohio for nearly 20 years. Longest I've lived in one place by far.
"Addicted" to various crafts over the years from crochet, to cross stitch (my favorite was stitching samplers on linen), to miniatures and now polymer clay. I first used the clay to make miniatures nearly 30 years ago.
I blame my current addiction to polymer on my miniatures friend, Alison, who introduced me to the Carol Duvall Show where I saw artists such as Donna Kato, Kim Cavender, Judy Belcher and many others.
I am a member of the Dayton Area Polymer Clay Guild and a huge fan of the annual Buckeye Clay Bash held in conjuction with the Columbus Polymer Clay Guild.
