Hi, I'm a 23 y old BA philosophy and MA in law student addicted to contemporary art & design and women (in that order). Michael Borremans, Berlinde De Bruyckere and Hans Op de Beeck are my favorite artists. They all have the power to pluck my heart strings, each of them using different techniques. Borremans used to be an etcher but now he is a renowned painter. A few months ago he presented his first video-work, it's bought by the MOMA and the Centre Pompidou. Berlinde De Bruyckere creates very powerful sculptures using horse skins and wax. Her drawings and aquatints have the same evocative power as her monumental sculptures and they are independent works of art. Hans op De Beeck is an artistic jack-all-of-trades who is able to create non-religious places of contemplation by cathing 'forgotten moments' in a smashing image.
