I -really- enjoy experimenting with vintage lenses to discover what they do well. Each has it's own visual fingerprint found in the bokeh, which is probably why I like shooting wide open most of the time. Most of my shots are from casual and low-stress experiences where I've got a little time to kill between points A and B. I also tend to avoid people and don't have much motivation to intentionally plan a scene or tell a story. However, I realize that at some point soon I'll get tired of this process unless I can challenge myself to take some more interesting photos. So, I'm currently learning how to incorporate a flash, especially off camera, and using people as subject matter. I'm pretty excited about this idea, since I've felt stuck for a while not knowing how to grow as a photographer.
