A writer and a teacher who lives in Southern California, endearingly hailed by many as "the Southland." I'll take my native Western New York any day, however. The greenery and change of seasons are important, but mostly it's the quiet and a place where people still trust one another (for the better part). I wrote the story of my growing up there in the 50s and 60s.
