Bottom line - I love nature/wildlife and enjoy taking photos that allow me to REALLY see what all those little critters look like. I also enjoy uploading and sharing my photos on flickr with members who have similar interests.
Identifications represent my best guess after hours of research and are not intended to be authoritative. If I have named anything wrong or not been able to supply an ID then I would appreciate any positive naming or suggested links.
Most of my nature photos are taken on our 10 acre block although I have climbed over the fences and taking a few on both my neighbour's blocks.
UPDATE (June 2012): My photos have only been taken on my block since I got the Canon EOS 550D. I have also been restricted to closer to the house, for various reasons, but I am still managing to find more insects etc.
My cameras:
When I joined Flickr I was using an OLYMPUS SP-560UZ camera but then in April 2010 my Hubby bought me my first SLR camera - a Canon EOS 550D and a Canon EF 100mm f/2.8L Macro IS USM lens etc etc etc
UPDATE (June 2012): I now have a Canon EOS 60D – November 2014 - I gave it to Hubby, it may be better but I still prefer my 550D
My definition of Flickr - a pictorial encyclopedia of every and anything.
Thank You to Everyone who Shares their photos on Flickr and a big Thank You to all who Comment and/or Fave my photos :-)
NOTE: Please, Please, Please do NOT invite me to any Groups where you HAVE to eg P1 C2. I do look at other people's photos and Comment/Fave but not on a 'have to' basis.
UPDATE - 16th April 2016.
My computer 'crashed' about the 11th March and I have very limited access on a Shared laptop.
I have nearly 800 photos on my camera waiting to be uploaded once my computer is up and running again.
To all my friends on Flickr - keep up the good work. I am loving looking at your photos even if I don't have time to Comment etc.
