Photography is my hobby and passion. Started taking pictures in July 1970 at 17 years of age. I enjoy the challenges it offers and the creativity. It's just plain fun. When I started there were not a lot of people interested in photography because it was very technical. The equipment was all manual. Over the years it has become easy as the equipment has become so good. Now you can take great pictures without becoming so technical. It has brought so many people to the hobby and I love looking at other peoples work from all over the world on flickr. Thank all of you for sharing your work. I enjoy looking at pictures. I am amazed at the creativity I see here. It makes me push myself harder to get better. That is what I love about photography. I have been doing it for 50 years and it still challenges me. Again thank you my friends all over the world who post, you make my hobby new and exciting every day.

UPDATE: July 11,2020 50 years since I got my first camera, a Minolta Hi-Matic 7s rangefinder. I enjoy photography today and it is just as exciting as it was that first day 50 years ago.
