I take part in Flickr quilt bees and sewing swaps and am constantly inspired by what I see others make and find- see my favourites! I am a big vintage fan - fabric, sewing related notions, books and anything else I can find- kitchen related stuff always attracts me, tea towels, storage jars- you get the picture!

Fabric likes:

Japanese designers- Suzuko Koseki and Kumiko Fujita ( I run a couple of Flickr groups showing their fabrics) . I love 1950s abstract prints, especially Lucienne Day and the original picture prints by her. I like vintage fabrics generally as well as modern, little prints, apple prints, kitchen prints, house/domestic prints, (not traditional japanese prints), cotton, linen, linen/cotton blends. Polka dots big and small. Lecien, Kokka. Fabric with text and words on- the more it looks like it has come of an old printing press, book or newspaper, the more I like it! I am not hung up on particular designers. I like a scrappy look, I am not into using a whole co-ordinated range altogether.

Fabric that I don't use

Traditional japanese prints, fabrics with lots of black and or monochrome, metallics, batik, purple- rarely use it, neon, camouflage, religious, cartoon (disney etc), skulls, fluro, pastel, bug prints- spiders, ladybirds, butterflies etc.

Other likes:

Zakka style purses, cushions, mug rugs, kitchen runners, pouches, pincushions, little things! Japanese craft books, Japanese clothes books- Pochee is a fav. Tea- especially earl grey. Vintage books- cook books, childrens books- anything with strong imagery, often with a 1950s touch, old sewing books for inspiration. I like fonts and text/graphic imagery- current or old.

PS: Could be open for a swap- try me! I tend to have small amounts of fabrics rather than metres of a print.
