Plymouth’s Morris Men are we,

Dancing Brave and Dancing Free;

Dancing bold your Ports and Peirs,

.More than half a thousand years;

Just as Drake and Raliegh we,

Shade this City’s history;

Through the joy and through the sorrow,

Dancing proud unto the morrow........

The Plymouth Morris Men are a group of male and female morris dancers who want to keep Traditional English Dancing, Music and Song Alive, as well as having fun.

You are welcome to come along and try the dancing for your selves. We hold workshops from 8pm on a Wednesday evening from October to end of April. Please contact our Bagman on 07837 271 769 or via email plymouth.morris@blueyonder.co.uk or via Facebook.com/PlymouthMorris .

We dance mainly in the Cotswold Morris tradition, some dances we have written our selves and we are the only side that uses REAL CUTLASSES.

The Plymouth Morris Men are looking for new members, from all ethnic backgrounds, who would like to learn, perform the Traditional English Morris dances and music help to keep it alive

We also perform a traditional Mummers play around the winter solstice; and entertain with music and traditional songs, even some in Swahili and French.

We will teach you the dances without charge and supply you with the most of the costume.

We are also looking for musicians.
