I'm a novice/amateur photographer. I enjoy striving to take good nature photographs, especially of photographs of birds. Although I'll gladly take pictures of an insect or plant or just about any random object I may come across.

My primary equipment is a Nikon D700, although I do use film cameras too. My primary lens is an old Nikon 300mm f/2.8 AI lens ( from 1982 ) with a Nikon 1.6a Teleconverter giving me approximately a 500mm f/4.5 lens. This lens has helped me to get most of my nature photographs even some birds in flight photographs.

I also use a Nikon 105mm AF-D Micro lens often because it's so sharp and I really like macro lenses. For autofocus and a bit more reach, I use Nikon 75-300mm AF 4.5-5.6 lens or a Nikon 70-210mm AF-D 4-5.6 lens.
