Fitz Clarke, citizen scientist in entomology, has no need to brag. His decade-long research and photography at the Skidaway Audubon Sparrow Field Wildlife Sanctuary & Pollinator Berm Garden says it all! Fitz advocates Douglas Tallamy's book, "Bringing Nature Home: How You Can Sustain Wildlife with Native Plants," as his cornerstone philosophy behind his passion, and credits Iowa State University, Department of Entomology's BugGuide.net for their reference and aid in species identification. Recently accomplishing the age of 78, Fitz will self-identify as being "old." I argue, "You only become 'old,' when you lose your passion for learning!" Fitz is an integral component in local, Skidaway Island conservation efforts and is truly inspiring.

Hello Fitz, So nice to meet you today. I love your photography, it meets all the criteria for top grade work. Thank you for offering the species of viburnum when you are able find out. I also like you reinforcing the need for Sam to do physical therapy. There could be no better place to go other than where you go . As you said there are others there with similar and even worse problems, and he would fell right at home, let alone a great support group. Hope that we do cross paths in the future.
