I live on a houseboat on the Murray River South Australia with my border collie "Josie: and my cat "Sinjin". I retired at age 60 in 1994 and have just recently taken up photography. I use a Kodak Easy Share C813 Zoom. The DSLRs are too technical for this old brain, so bear with me please.Non of my photos are enhanced thats why some of them look out of focus but I haven't mastered the art of tarting them up. As well as photography I am an avid reader (I love psychological thrillers) crossword puzzles and I grow orchids and belong to an orchid club.

I take an interest in other peoples work just check out my galleries to verify this.

I welcome all comments be they positive or negative as everyone can't like the same thing. I concentrate mainly on sunset/sunrise river scenes and of course Sinjin. I have some really great contacts on flickr and I really appreciate them taking the time to comment when I know that most of my shots are not up to the standard of theirs. Recently I have started taking an interested in the birds (thats the feathered variety) that wander passed my boat.

If someone adds me as a contact and has no profile of their own, then I am sorry I am just not interested. Also I am not interested in just having someone add my photo as a favourite only, I think this is a waste of time as it doesn't say why it's a favourite, it's alright to do so every now and then or if you are on the road and to busy to add full comments but not every photo that's uploaded.

February 2010, I have bitten the bullet and purchsed a Pentax DSLR. Wish me luck.

I am using my DSLR but must admit I keep reverting back to my simple point & shoot.

April 13th 2011 A very sad day for me I had to have my darling girl Josie put to sleep it wasn't an easy thing to do but one that was best for Josie.
