I love nature photography. I really enjoy being on Flickr. Its an honor when other photogs leave comments on my work, because the quality of work I have seen on Flickr is very impressive. Their comments inspire me to do better. I have no problem with constructive criticism when delivered in a proper way, because it helps me to improve my work. I want to thank my brother Greg (PhotoMasterGreg) for letting me know about this wonderful site. I also wanted to say to those who are contacts, thank you for all your comments and for being such great friends. You inspire me to go to heights I never dreamed possible.

The quality of photos I have seen and people I have met are incredible. I am truly blessed by the friends I have made on Flickr. Thank you all!

My only requests are, that you don't fave without commenting. And that you don't use any of my photos, for any reason, without my written permission. I respect you and your work enough to get your permission first. I just ask that you do the same. All my work is copyrighted.

WARNING: Any institutions or persons, using this site or any of its associated sites for any studies, projects, or field guides, etc. - You do NOT have my permission to use any of my pictures, in any form or forum both current and future, without written permission. If you have or do, it will be considered a copyright violation and will be subject to legal ramifications. I ask that you respect me and my work, the same way I respect you and yours.

Some of you have been wondering why others are calling me, Joe, instead of Ralph. Well to clarify this, here is an explanation. It is because my middle name is Joseph. I was born four years, to the day, after my Uncle Joe, my mother's brother, was killed in the Battle of Kum (Koom) River, in Korea. So instead of naming me Ralph Albert Jr., they named me Ralph Joseph. My grandparents started calling me by my middle name and the rest of the family followed their lead. My grandparents felt that God gave them back their son in the form of a grandson.

There are two accounts of how my uncle died. The government says he was killed execution style, by the enemy, when his position was overrun. Which was a tactic commonly used by the North Koreans when it came to medics. They figured if they took out the medics, more of our men would die on the battlefield, before they could reach a field hospital. But, three of the survivors of the battle say that he was treating a wounded soldier when when he was hit by a chicom 51 caliber machine gun. About the only thing they can agree on is that he died on 16 July 1950.

I have only known Ralph for a few short months here but it has been a blessing. Ralph is absolutely one of the most supportive contacts I have ever had here on flickr and I have only positive things to say about him. He leaves the most amazing comments and encouraging words. He is also a true follower and believer in Christ and it inspires me to grow in my faith with God. Ralph's stream is so full of color and beautiful nature photography. He is so great at capturing life! He first contacted me after he saw a Christian-related photo of mine and thanked me for being honest... and I would just like to thank him for being so supportive of what I do. It means more to me than he even realizes. I can not thank him enough for continuously leaving me kind words and lifting me up. I wish him all the best in life and with his passion for photography. It is an honor to know you! God bless.

I am so happy to have met Ralph here on Flickr! He is one of the most encouraging and supportive contacts anyone could have, and always brightens my day with his comments, and especially with his prayers. Ralph's faith is expressed in his words, but also in his wonderful photos! He sees the world through eyes which have been opened spiritually, and finds the beauty that God created and shares it with us all in an ever growing, skillful way. Thank you, Ralph, for your friendship, kindness, and for sharing your world with us! I look forward to watching you continue to grow as a photographer, and as a man of God! The former is certainly an expression of the latter, and I believe you are well aware of that! God bless, my friend!

Ralph is a delightful contact, always generous with his comments and gracious in his replies. Of his work, Ralph has said,"There is such beauty in nature, that I want to record and share with anyone willing to look." His enthusiasm in showcasing that beauty, especially the diverse landscapes of the Garden State, is obvious as you go through his photostream. There are wonderful photographs of birds, serene, wooded trails, and the colors of just about every season we enjoy in New Jersey. Thank you for sharing your view of nature, Ralph and keep bringing us more to enjoy!
