The small coastal City of Nanaimo is my home. It is located on the south-east coast of Vancouver Island in the Salish Sea [Canada]. This beautifully rugged island off of the British Columbia west coast offers endless photographic opportunities.

Outdoor photography is such a rewarding activity that offers limitless [and inexpensive] opportunities to capture the splendor of nature. Now, what could possibly be any better for us than bona fide fresh air, sunshine and nature.

This is a challenging hobby to capture quality image of a bird that just won't sit still for more than a few seconds in light that is usually less than ideal. When it comes to flora - this is a much more cooperative subject but conditions are rarely perfect.
