Well. I'm John's Daughter.

I'm a stay at home mom with aspirations to be a great quilter, seamstress and crafter.

At the present moment I happen to be a great stay at home mom and an average--quick, get it done!--crafter...but, I have potential. Baby steps :)

John, my father passed away in 2008. I dedicate my blog to him.

Fabric and the interest of quilting has taken up lodging in my life and I think it may just bunk in for the long haul!

I am a hopeless romantic and wish life were a fairytale.

If I could choose a time to live in I would have chosen to be born in the times of Jane Austen--into money and, of course, of noble birth :)

I am in real life married to a "Mr. Knightly" of my own--proper in both etiquette and charm.

And I am the loud, boisterous, "Emma" in his life :)

I have ecclectic tastes. However I like simple. fresh. clean.

I love intricate quilting on simple quilts or lots of "line" quilting.

CHRISTMAS is my favourite holiday! I listen to Christmas music all year long.

I love all colours and fancy everything I see that is rainbow!

Yellow is by far my FAVOURITE colour. It speaks to me and yet, I very rarely sew with it and when I do I just love it!

I also like orange, lime, pink, turquoise and red.

I believe that red and pink go together and that grey is the new black.

Grey is a colour that I connect with my dad and it just makes me feel cozy.

I love grey paired with any colour!

I love the power of solid colours interspersed with patterns. It allows the patterns and prints to dance.

I also love things just all jumbled and mixed and busy and fun!

I have been recently converted to liking "some" batiks :)

I love sparkle and shine! Sequins and glitter. Even my pajamas have glitter on them!

I prefer saturated, deep, full colours-- not necessarily bright, but bold (Anna Maria Horner is a good example of this).

I LOVE a wrinkly, crinkly quilt and a hand sewn, striped or polka dot binding.

I enjoy stars and trees, and wonky is great (as I'm a bit wonky myself! LOL!)
