My home overlooks St. Mary's Bay (Baie Ste-Marie) in southwest Nova Scotia, Canada. It's so elemental, so beautiful. Water, sky, light, they're always changing, often from minute to minute. I spend a lot of time just looking.

Most of my photography happens very close to home. Simple things catch my eye: a cloud, a shadow, light striking something in an unusual way. For some time now I've been drawn to photo impressionism, using things like intentional camera movement and Photoshop filters to try and express the 'feeling' of things I see.
