- Borrowed my brothers' Konica C35 rangefinder and I was hooked. My favourite thing was using bulb to catch light trails, or make people look like mannequins. I did not care for flash as it was unattractive. I never took a class, yet I spent hours in the school darkroom. After moving to NYC, I was in a photographers smorgasborg; architecture, park activity, characters galore! My pix were similar to Brandon Stantons' - Humans of New York. Sadly, the majority of my work was stolen out of my sisters' car and trashed by a girlfriend that I broke up with. I became a commercial still life / portrait photographer, and later joined Brad Guice as his first assistant. We shot with film and Polaroid most of the time. With the iPhone, I left my cameras on the shelf and had fun with all the apps that alter images. These days I'm getting back to my Canons. . . and back to shooting people.
