My sister encouraged me to start taking pictures and to join flickr. I started with my point and shoot Canon camera that my husband got on Craig's List. I tend to lose track of time when I go out with the camera around my neck. Sometimes it is the journey that is more interesting than the outcome. It is like a little treasure hunt to see what I will find, i.e. "Serendipity". I really enjoy seeing all the pictures from flickr members around the globe. I would love to travel outside the U.S., but that may take some serendipity, as well. I find the mundane can be as fascinating as the obvious, if I keep my eyes open! One day I will progress to a better camera, and learn how to use it, but until that day I wander and wonder what I will find in the moment.
