I live in Cincinnati, Ohio and I am a junior at the University of Cincinnati studying History as my major.I plan out drives around the Greater Cincinnati area and make day trips to nearby towns as well to take pictures. The majority of my pictures have been of buildings so far, but I also enjoy photographing animals. I especially love art deco, but I also love gothic and other historical architecture. I have a burning hatred for the minimalist modernists, especially Le Corbusier. I don't really like taking pictures of people much, both because I get embarrassed about it and also because I don't feel enjoyment from taking people posing, but I can't take pictures of people in more natural circumstances, because I'm pretty sure that its rude or even suspicious to take pictures of strangers without their knowledge. Finally, none of my pictures are photoshopped or altered in any way. I find photoshopping to be interesting, but way too fake for my tastes. I see photography not necessarily as an art, in so far as a way to show off my artistic "talent". Rather I aim to provide to the viewer a sort of portal through which they may see something that I did at a certain time and place, a slice of reality.
