I was a civil servant who used to be in the arts. I have been an actor, a painter, and a writer. I do, in fact, when employed, write for a living. I have also used photography when I worked in public relations many years ago and, even earlier, when I worked for Polaroid corporation in the sixties. My dad was a brilliant photographer but never got to see the digital revolution. He would have loved it!

I acquired a small Olympus SP320 years ago. Prior to that I used an old Nikon FM, bought second hand. I have now obtained an Olympus E-P1. I love this camera! I can use my old lenses from my Nikon FM. I am now using a non electronic Sigma zoom 70-210, a wide angle Vivitar and my 50mm Nikon lens with E-P1.

If it weren't for Flickr, I probably wouldn't have come back to my true love, photography and the arts.

I retired from work for the government in 2011. I moved out of my NY apartment and have lived, year-round in Downeast Maine since 2012.
