My life changed in May, 2011 when my husband of nearly 49 years passed away. Together we had two children and three grandchildren. They are my rocks and my foundation and I am so grateful for their love.

It's been almost two years since losing the love of my life and I am only now finding my way back into photography. Retired, I am free to pursue my love of nature and photography. I'm back to carrying my camera and have added the binoculars my husband wore when we walked. This is my passion.

In my spare time I like to watch and identify birds and take long walks in nearby parks along the run. My longtime friend, husky, Aussie Bear, lived 17 1/2 years, passing in Dec 2014 and I miss him so, but my walks bring back many fond memories.

I haven't been on Flickr much lately and I hope to be back looking at and commenting on amazing images.
