Founded in January 2004, Baan Phonsawan Child Development Center (PCDC) is a multi-dimensional organization which assists in the development and education of ethnic minority children in Chiang Mai, Thailand. The children we serve are from under-privileged and marginalized migrant communities that, due to their poverty and “stateless” status, they lack access to basic social services. They are highly vulnerable to exploitation, alcoholism, drug addiction, HIV/AIDS, domestic violence and other social problems. PCDC’s mission is to provide these children with much-needed education, life skills, spiritual formation and character development with the ultimate goal of integrating them into Thai society.
