Following studies in Infographics and Newspaper Design at Newcastle College of Art, and a Summer Scholarship at the Poynter Institute, Florida, I was employed at the Observer in 1997, and appointed Graphics Editor in 2000.

Recipient of several major awards from the SND, and SND-e Malofiej World Summit, where in 2005 I was appointed President of the Jury.

In the summer of 2007 I joined the Independent on Sunday, and in October 2008 I was appointed 'Head of Graphics' at Telegraph Media Group, which includes the Daily Telegraph, Sunday Telegraph and Telegraph.co.uk.
