I spent too many years away from photography growing a business and family. My first good camera was a Sears SLR I believe was made by Pentax. My next camera was a Canon A-1 which shot 35mm film, is now retired and I finally moved into digital.

I use pocket digitals for business but for enjoyment, I use a Nikon D300. I've used this one since 2008 and am still learning. I also use Photoshop CS3 to do minor work on my photos and again have a lot to learn.

I have recently become interested in HDR photos and will use Photomatrix Essentials 4.0 on some shots where I want that dynamic range to show.

Your comments are welcome and most of all helpful. I don't aspire to become a professional photographer but do enjoy taking photos and sharing with others. Not everyone with a camera is a photographer, many are picture takers. I am a picture taker that yearns to be more.
