I'm a graduate of the University of New Mexico, class of 95.

I also attended the School of the Art Institute of Chicago for a year.

I was a painting/drawing major and only took a few photography classes. Back then, I remember thinking that photography was not an adequate way of expressing myself. Now, I think much differently. I am thankful that with two active sons, I still have an outlet to be creative. Photography is instant gratification for me. It is what fulfills my visual need.

I love it. I just wish I had money for some better lenses and more equipment. There are so many things I want to try.

When I got back to Florida after college, I started taking photos of my friends kids. It was fun, and I was experimenting. I have been in business for nine years with Shawna Everett Photography. I have made many life long friends through my photography business. It has been so rewarding and so fulfilling. I use Flickr to post more artsy fartsy stuff sometimes, but my real website has my portraiture on it.
