I've been fascinated by 3D anaglyphs since I was a child, I guess it was the Viewmaster that got me started then 3D comic books, TV specials, etc.
Growing up in the 80s probably didn't hurt either, there was a big 50s resurgence and that brought reb/blue 3D back.
There was "The Mask" (not with Jim Carrey), "Hondo", Jaws3D, etc. and raise you hand if you went to see "Spacehunter: Adventures in the Forbidden Zone"
Spacehunter was polorized 3D by the way.
So here it is 2009 and they gave away ColorCode3D glasses for the Superbowl and I had to check out this "new" 3D.
My first thought was: "it's too dark", even the Sobe Water commercial that featured football players in white against a white background looked dark due to the blue filter on the glasses.
But then I checked out some photos on the internet and was impressed by the wide range of colors the pictures could contain and not much of a color loss when compared to the red/blue or red/green glasses.
So now I'm a fan of yellow/blue 3D as well as the red/blue style, I also have the ChromaDepth3D glasses and am going to try to construct some pictures in that format.
Ultimately I want to make 3D movies, but so far I don't think most people are willing to wear any color filter style 3D glasses for longer than a couple of minutes.
Barring us 3D freaks of course!
