The photographs were taken by my husband and I mostly in the north of England, southern Scotland and the southwest. With digital cameras being able to take so many photographs is indeed a pleasure and we rarely go anywhere without our camera.
We have a love of the countryside in the North, in particular; the Yorkshire Dales and the Lake district. We are also very fond of sheep and you will find many photographs of sheep and lambs. We both have a love of, and a great interest in all animals and support animal rights.
In the Spring of this year 2009 our website www.think-differently-about-sheep.com went on-line.
The following is an introduction to our website which I hope you will take the time to visit.
Our website is dedicated to sheep one of the most gentle of creatures on the planet. But our website is not only about sheep. Think differently about sheep also concerns all farm and other animals who are abused and exploited by man, which sadly to some degree includes most species on the planet!
You will find sections devoted to animal rights which discuss the effects of the shocking abuse of factory farmed animals, with sections about pigs, sheep, poultry, cattle, fish and crustaceans. Also sections concerning sentience in farm, and other animals.
We hope by setting up this website that in some small way it makes a few people think differently about our relationship with all animals as creatures with whom we share this world rather than commodities for our use and sadly our abuse.
Think Differently about Sheep is not only about animal rights issues, also included are a growing collection of photographs, free clip art and animal related articles of general interest.
I hope you enjoy our photographs, which come with few restrictions to use on your websites, for educational and charitable or non commercial purposes.
Please do not use any of our photographs to promote farming or similar practices.
Thank You
